Celebrating the Launch of Community Action Malvern and District’s Fresh New Website!

We’re thrilled to announce the official launch of Community Action Malvern and District’s vibrant new website, developed with passion and dedication by Helen at Citrus Web, with creative design from Joe Everley of 19-Ninety Design. This new site brings to life the warmth and energy of the charity, who offer a lifeline for those who would otherwise be isolated, alone, and often confined to their homes.

Community Action is a team of caring crusaders whether they’re offering a listening ear, providing door-to-door transport, or welcoming people to their many activities, their passion is palpable. It’s their kindness, dedication, and warmth that have made the charity such an integral part of life for many people living in Malvern. Unfortunately, their old website didn’t do them justice. We have helped them explain, in a more impactful way, the difference they make to people’s lives.

On a visit to Malvern Men’s Shed, I witnessed firsthand the joy and companionship it brings to the community. This charity is truly focused on building meaningful connections and I’m excited to continue partnering with them—not just on their web development, but also in supporting their marketing and fundraising initiatives.

The new website highlights the range of essential services and that all services can be booked with a simple call to the office (preferably giving as much notice as possible to allow for a suitable volunteer to be matched to the booking), their services include:

  • Car Service: A door-to-door service helping those who can’t travel independently.

  • Out and About Activities: Fun, community-building events and day trips.

  • Sunday Tea Clubs: Regular social gatherings that bring people together.

  • Film Club: A relaxing space to enjoy classic films with friends.

  • Men’s Shed: A supportive place for men to meet, work on projects, and share companionship.

  • Minibus Hire: Accessible transport for groups and individuals alike.

  • Wheelchair Vehicles: Ensuring those with mobility challenges can still get where they need to be.

The process of developing this new site was an exciting journey, and we’re proud to have made some key website improvements along the way:

  • Comprehensive Web Strategy: From discovery meetings to design options, through to development and testing, we ensured the site reflected their mission and values.

  • Updated Branding: Joe Everley of 19Ninety Design created their new logo to incorporate the iconic Malvern Hills, giving it a modern yet familiar feel.

  • Rebranded Materials: Leaflets and bus route information were all rebranded to align with the new look.

  • Setup YouTube and Vimeo Channels for their new videos created by Milo and Josh, work experience volunteers.

  • Social media content to help promote the launch.

This collaborative project has resulted in a modern, welcoming, and professional website that not only highlights their wide range of services but also makes it easier for volunteers, fundraisers, and local businesses to get involved.

Check out the new site and discover how Community Action Malvern and District is tackling isolation and loneliness, one connection at a time. We’d love to hear your thoughts!
