I’ve been blown away by meticulously choreographed acrobatic performances, 7-foot 4 basketball players and record-breaking swimming times over the weekend, after the 2024 Olympics got underway in Paris.
I was explaining to my 9-year-old about the tremendous effort and hard work that all the athletes put into this sports event, happening only every four years. "These athletes are the very best sports people out of the whole country, all competing against all the other countries" I explained, trying to wean her off her iPad to watch the super talented gymnasts.
